2026 Scholarships

A gathering to inform, inspire & invigorate the school garden movement

2026 Scholarship Application
Scholarship Application Opens - October 1, 2025
Application Deadline - October 31, 2025
About Our Scholarships
The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation is offering scholarships to make the Growing School Gardens Summit more financially accessible. We recognize that some individuals face greater barriers to attend the Summit than others. Therefore, scholarships will be awarded to support individuals who experience disproportionate barriers. Our Scholarship Review Committee will also consider identities and life/work experiences that are often underrepresented in the field of garden education.
Due to the high volume of scholarship applications we receive, we will only consider applicants who are currently employed in a role teaching in a school garden or cooking program and/or who directly support garden-based education efforts.
In 2024, 20% of attendees were awarded a scholarship. We aim for a similar or higher percentage of awardees in 2026.
Scholarship Support
There is limited funding available. In an effort to support as many individuals as possible we are offering two levels of support:
- Registration ($550 value)
- Registration ($550 value) and $300 stipend to offset the cost of travel or lodging ($850 total value)
How to Submit Your Application and What to Expect

- Applications are due on October 31st
- Awardees notified on November 18th
